As the snow blankets the country of Turkiye, everyone is seeking warmth—some bundling up in jackets, while others turn to the comforting embrace of a good cup of coffee. But not just any coffee—Ugandan coffee, a hidden gem that is winning hearts and palates across the globe. the sights, aroma, and taste of Uganda, all captured in a single cup. Efforts to push Uganda’s Coffee onto the Global stage remain evident with Inspire Africa Group leading the charge.

At one of the biggest tourism exhibitions worldwide, the 28th East Mediterranean International Tourism & Travel Exhibition which attracts thousands of industry professionals and tourists looking for new and exciting travel opportunities from destinations and travel service companies from across the globe, Uganda under the Embassy’s leadership was able to shine and showcase the marvel of the country and the hidden Gem(Coffee) stole hearts of communities.

Great progress was witnessed as Inspire Africa Group and the Time Food Group created a strategic partnership aimed at expanding market access and promoting Uganda’s coffee. The MoU signals a strategic expansion for both parties as they unite to enhance cultural exchange and coffee appreciation. With Time Food Group’s extensive network of coffee shops across Türkiye, Ugandan coffee is set to become a celebrated addition to the country’s dynamic café culture, inviting locals and visitors alike to experience the distinctive flavors and traditions of Uganda.

Nelson Tugume, CEO of Inspire Africa Group, expressed optimism saying The partnership is an opportunity to share the unique taste of Ugandan coffee and cultural heritage with a new audience.

Albeit Uganda’s Coffee potential for economic development is immense, it was agreed upon, that it is largely dependent on value addition. As Uganda joins Other players, It is in unison that adding value to the bean will help the country generate more revenue and meet the 5B target in 5 years.

However for this to be actualized, both the private sector and the government need to actively look for ways of tapping into new markets, forge strategic partnerships, and drive growth.

With a deliberate effort to mobilize the Turkish market, Mr Tugume’s partnerships are geared towards building anticipation for the upcoming coffee marathon in May and the coffee festival scheduled for later this year at the Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo
