Uganda Airlines has launched its direct flight from Entebbe to Lagos in Nigeria. CEO Jennifer Bamuturaki said their aim is to open more routes on the continent and the flight from Entebbe to Lagos will no take four hours minus the services the flight might take close to nine hours. She said the last time she traveled to Nigeria they where delayed in another airport. we are now reducing the nine hours to four hours in a direct flight.
She added, the first flight takes off from Entebbe at 4pm and we are now opening Uganda to an economy of about $504 billions.
The Uganda chief commercial officer, Mr Adedayo Olawuyi said, nobody serves a direct flight from Entebbe to Lagos and the data shows we have over 40,000 passengers a yeah and we instead to fly this route three times week and we deploy 250 seater aircraft.
