President Museveni has appointed Mr. Pius Biribonwoha as the new Solicitor General.
Prior to his latest appointment, Biribonwoha has been serving as the deputy Solicitor General since February 2022.
On Tuesday, the new Solicitor General assumed office, taking over from Francis Atoke.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, the outgoing Solicitor General emphasised the importance of embracing culture, calling it the backbone of success for any organisation.
Birinonwoha is a Ugandan Advocate whose experience in the legal field spans over 20 years.
He has previously served as Counsel General to the Parliament of Uganda from May 2019, ad well as Parliament’s Director Legal and Legislative Services from 2008 to 2019.
Birinonwoha is a holder of Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.
He also holds a Masters in Advanced Legislative from the School of Advanced Study, University of London, as well as Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University.
