Government has tabled before the committee a request to borrow up to shs 2.4trillion from different financial institution to finance part of its budget . According to Mr Matia Kasaija the minister of finance,planning and economic development, the Government will borrow shs 1.3trillion from the Islamic Development bank, and 136million from the Organization of oil exporting countries(OPEC) fund for international development for upgrading the national road project in Uganda
He adds, the Government will borrow shs 1.5 trillions and receive grant shs 85billions from the international Development association of the world bank group to finance the climate smart Agriculture transformation
