Revival makes alive again those who have been alive but have fallen into a cold or dead state. It helps to bring back Christians to their first love and the healthy growth of the spiritual life to which conversion was meant to be. It is the awakening or quickening of God’s people to their true nature and purpose because it returns the Church from her backslidings and the conversion of sinners.
