KEEP THE FAITH (PART 4)

Lewis says that we are like imperfect houses, that God with your permission comes to fix your problems in you. He starts to fix your internal and external flaws but there will be times when he will make painful transformations, all because he doesn’t want us to be just small houses but a palace where he will enter and dwell if you allow it. Now let us also be aware of the importance of prayer. Prayer is our direct line of communication with God.  As it says in Philippians 4;6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanks giving, present your request to God.”  I t is in prayer that we can pour out our hearts to him, seek his wisdom and receive his peace.  As it says in Matthew 7;7. “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be open to you.” So make prayer a daily practice. Start your day seeking his guidance and end it by thanking him for his faithfulness. As it says in 1Thessolonians 5;17-18, “Pray continuously, give thanks in all circumstances  for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” In all situations whether joyful or challenging, turn to God in prayer. He hears every word and values every moment you spend with him. This is confirmed in 1John 5;14. This is the confidence we have in approaching God. That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. As you navigate this new season, allow God to transform you from the inside out. This is a time of inner growth as much as it is of external achievements. As it says in Romans 12;2. Do not conform to the passion of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. His good, pleasing and perfect will. Let the holy spirit work in your heart shaping it to the likeness of Christ as it says in 2 Corinthians 3;18. And we all who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory are being transformed into his own image ,with ever increasing glory which comes from the Lord who is the spirit.  Be open to his correction and guidance because the Lord disciplines those he loves as a father  to a son he delights in. Proverbs 3;12. Let his love fill you, over flow from you and touch everyone around you. Your life is a testimony of God’s grace and power and through you, others can come to know his love. As it says in Matthew 5;16. In the same way, let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven .

In this new season, embrace the unknown with faith . Often, we wish to have everything figured out to know the details of God’s plan for us.  But faith means trusting in him even when we do not have all the answers as it says in Hebrews 11;1. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we don’t see. It means stepping out of the boat like Peter  and walking on water. Keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus  as it says in Matthew 14;29. “Come he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat and walked towards Jesus. When the storms of life arise, focus on the one who calms the seas.  As we read in Mark 4;39, He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, be quiet and still. Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.  His love will carry you, I am the vine, you are the branches . If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing. John 15;5 . Remember, you are part of a larger story. The grand narrative of God’s redemption and love. Your life is a chapter of the story and every experience, every trial, every triumph is part of his original plan.

Trust that he is weaving a beautiful tapestry and each thread, even those that seem dark and tangled has a purpose as it says in Romans 8;28.  And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. In his hands, all things are made beautiful in their time. He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3;11. As you move forward, celebrate the victories no matter how small they may seem. Each step forward is a testimony to God’s faithfulness. Rejoice in the progress and be grateful for the lessons learned along the way. Share your journey with others for your testimony can inspire and encourage those around you. Be a beacon of hope and light, reflecting God’s glory in all that you do. As it says in Matthew 5;14  You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Let us remain anchored in hope and love. God has wonderful plans for you and he will be with you every step of the way. When you face uncertainties, remember that He is the author of peace, not of confusion. His sprit will guide you into all truth illuminating the power of the head and giving you the wisdom to navigate every twist and turn.

One of the greatest gifts God has given us is his word. The Bible is a treasure of promises wisdom and encouragement. Make it a daily habit to meditate on his word. Let it be a lamp for your feet and a light for your path. When you feel weary, find strength in scriptures like Isaiah 40;31 which says “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint”. As you immerse yourself in the word of God, let it transform your mind and renew your spirit. Allow his truths replace any lies or doubts that have taken route in your heart. You are faithfully and wonderfully made. Chosen and loved and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

These promises are not just words. They are a reality of who you are in Christ. In this new season, cultivate a heart of worship. Worship is not just singing songs, it is living a life that honors God  in everything you do. It is surrendering your heart, your plans and desires to him trusting that he knows what is best for you as it says in Proverbs 3;5-6 “Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”  In all your ways, submit to him and he will make your paths straight. Worship him in spirit and in truth and let his  presence fill your life with joy and peace. When you worship, you align your heart with his and open yourself to receive his guidance and blessings. Community is also vital in this season as it says in Hebrews 10;24-25.  And let us consider how we might spare on another on to love and good deeds not giving up on meeting together as some are in the habit of doing. But encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day approaching.  We were never meant to walk this journey alone. The body of Christ is a family and each member has a unique role to play. Share your burdens and joys with your brothers and sisters in Christ; be there for them in return. Colossians 6;2 “Carry each other’s burdens and by doing this, you fulfill the law of Christ, which is to love one another as he has loved us. However, it is not necessary to attend church if you don’t wish to. We are always here and our community is full of incredible people.

Additionally, remember the importance of serving others. Jesus came not to be served but to serve. And he calls us to do the same. Seek opportunities to bless those around you whether through words of encouragement, acts of kindness or simply being present. Your service is a  powerful testimony of God’s love as you pour out your life for others. You will find that God fills you even with great joy and fulfillment.

Finally, be patient and persistent in your journey. Growth takes time and every step forward no matter how small, is progress. There will be days when you feel like you have taken two steps back but do not be discouraged. God’s mercies are new every morning and his grace is sufficient for you.  As it says in Lamentations 3; 22-23 “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. So keep moving forward, keep trusting in his promises and keep your eyes fixed on Christ Jesus, the author and perfector of your faith.

Dear friends, as you embrace this new season, know that you are deeply loved by God. He delights in you, he sings over you and his plans for you are filled with hope and a future.  Walk in his love, live in his grace and trust in his unfailing promises. May his blessings over flow in your lives. May his peace guard your hearts and may his joy be your strength.  And I want to remind you that Gods timing is perfect. Sometimes we may feel impatient wanting to see immediate results and quick answers to our prayers. But remember, God’s ways are higher than our ways and his timing is impeccable. Trust that he is working behind the scenes okay straitening everything for your good. He is never late and his plans are always worth the wait.

Dear beloved friends, let us also open our hearts to prayer. Dear Heavenly father, as I embark on this new season in my life, I come to you in prayer seeking your guidance, wisdom and strength. Please grant me the courage and determination to face the challenges and opportunities that come my way. Help me to stay focused and steadfast in my purposes knowing that with your grace, all things are possible. I also lift up to you my financial concerns, knowing]g that you are ultimately in control of my provision , please grant me the wisdom to manage my resources wisely and the discernment to make sound financial decisions. I trust in your faithfulness to meet my needs according to your riches in glory . Additionally, I ask for your healing hand over any area of  my life that needs restoration whether it is emotional, physical or spiritual healing. I know that you are the ultimate healer. Please grant me the strength and patience to endure any trials and the faith to believe in your restorative power. In all things I submit to your will trusting in your perfect timing and infinite love for me. Thank you Lord for your presence in my life and the blessings that are to come in this new season.  In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN.
