You have heard so much conversation going on about how the boys have been left behind. This can be based on a scripture from Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Life is about training cognitive programming and it is very important whether it is a girl child or a boy child. Society has focused so much on training the girl child which is fantastic however, for some reason there has been an assumption that boys are good to go.
They can just grow up playing soccer, doing video games and before you know it, they are ready for marriage, they are ready for leadership but they have not been oriented on this. So, boys need to be taught just like girls regarding how to manage life, the intricate nature of life requires training.
So, we cannot risk having our boys, our sons, our brothers and husbands untrained to manage life and relationships because 90% of life is about relationship management. So, if we have ill prepared sons, brothers and husbands, it is not healthy because these are leaders of society.
You should therefore be intentional about teaching boys simple but very important skills like communication, negotiation, conflict management, and teamwork so that they can be groomed to be good human beings. Only then are we assured of a healthy society where both girls and boys can live harmoniously.
